# FunNotch

> FunNotch is a free, open-source macOS app that turns the MacBook notch into an interactive panel, similar to the Dynamic Island on an iPhone. It puts music controls, a drag-and-drop file shelf, searchable clipboard history, focus sessions, daily notes and thirteen widgets around the camera. Version 1.3 (September 27, 2026). Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later; Apple Silicon and Intel; works without a notch as a floating island. License: GPL-3.0. Price: $0, with no account, subscription, analytics or telemetry.

- The thirteen closed-notch widgets: battery, clock, date, focus timer, next event, now playing, CPU, memory, disk, weather, Wi-Fi, moon phase, shelf count.
- Network use: weather from Open-Meteo, album artwork from the media source, and update checks against GitHub releases. Nothing else leaves the Mac.
